We recently went on our baby moon to Cuba. We did a one week trip splitting our time in half between the city, Havana and the beaches, Varadero. I was about 21 weeks (5 months) along in my pregnancy when we embarked on our trip. This is suggested as the golden period to travel so we took advantage of the small window where I was feeling my best and energetic to embark on one last hurrah as a married couple with no kids.
Fall is my favourite season. The falling leaves give beauty to the landscape, the crisp air is refreshing after the hot summer and not to mention all the fun fall activities. Every year I try to make a point to embark on a few fall traditions to really get the most of the beautiful season.
Hey guys! Don’t worry I’m still alive and kicking it. I know I’ve been MIA for the past two months, but I am back and you can all look forward to more posts from The Loki Life. The next few posts will be a bit of back tracking as I did go on a few adventures this summer that I would like to share with you all. This post is about the trip we took to the Toronto Ripley’s Aquarium and all the cool things you can expect to see when you go. We took the in laws there for Father’s Day back in June.
It’s been years since I went to the ROM. I used to go every year in high school for Latin class (yes I took Latin for three years of high school). I loved everything to do with ancient civilizations, world history, archaeology and anthropology. I still love it!
Once a year for just a few days, Toronto’s High Park plays host to a beautiful scene of cherry blossoms in full bloom. This year we decided to take the pilgrimage for the first time to see these beauties in person.
Welcome to the very final post of our family trip to Orlando. Our last stop was to the second half of Universal Orlando – Universal Studios. Here we got to see a real life Transformer, the Delorian from Back to the Future and visit The Simpsons at Springfield.
We’re going to conclude our Orlando trip with Universal Orlando. It’s been about a month and half since we took this trip but here I am still writing about it. Our final day was dedicated to Universal Orlando which is made up of two parks: Universal Studios (film and TV) and Island of Adventures (comics and books). We started our day off at Island of Adventures home to Seuss Landing, Harry Potter World, Jurassic Park, Toon Lagoon and Marvel Land.
Welcome to Part Two of our family trip to Orlando, FL. After Animal Kingdom we headed over to Epcot Centre for dinner reservations and a walk around the world before finishing off with the Illuminations Lights and Fireworks Show.
I recently embarked on a trip of a lifetime to the land of wonder and magic. I went on an African safari, visited the future, travelled around the world, walked through a fairy tale kingdom, entered a world of wizardry and even stepped into a beloved cartoon town. I did all this in less than four days and I got to share this incredible experience with my family. I’m finally ready to share with you the adventures of Fam Jam 2014 in Orlando, FL!
Were any of you watching the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics? The winter Olympics are always an exciting time because Canada tends to dominate in this season. Go Canada Go! Watching the winter Olympics have inspired me to really get out there and enjoy the winter season. Every year I proclaim how much I hate winter and hole myself up indoors for the next 4 months. This year is different. It’s all about taking ourselves out of our comfort zones and trying new things.
